Hi All,

I currently have a very basic camper trailer (tent on a trailer) and I am looking to upgrade to a pop up camper, Jayco Swan or similar.

We live in the Pilbara and do a lot of weekend trips a mix between bush camping and caravan parks.

I have been looking around for brands of pop up campers that have a slide out kitchen and/or fridge slide options with not much luck. Have thought about sacrificing some inside seating and getting them added.

if anyone knows of a brand that comes with these options or has made similar modification I would love to hear all about it :)

Lauren

Only wind-up that has a slide out I know of is the Coromal. There may be others.

Why are you so fixated on one with a slide out?

I would prefer to cook outside and I an trying to limit the amount of things that will need carried/stored and set up.

sorry, misunderstood your question. I thought you meant slide-out like 5th wheelers have. oops!

We have a wind-up and nearly always cook meat outside. We take a little gas bottle and a single burner that screws on top. This doubles as our cooking when we leave the camper behind and take the tent to harder to reach areas.

We looked for similar and also found nothing.

We had a soft floor camper and now have a Jayco Dove. We don't use the internal stove as we much prefer to cook outside on our gas cooker. We only go inside to go to bed, we like to live under the awning rail, hail or shine.

We are looking at possibly making a slide out kitchen or just a external door that folds down and acts like a table (if that makes sense).

Someone on the MySwag forum has installed a pull out kitchen into the side of his older Jayco. Maybe spend some time on there to get some ideas.

Nick, our Goldstream has a fold down table on the outside. Pretty sure it's a Camec or similar part. Comes in very handy.

HGMonaro, that sounds similar to what I want to do.

Lauren, he is a link to some pics that may give you some ideas. Not sure how much work is involved though!
