For people interested in doing the Kidson/Wapet Track, latest advice from Goldwyer Mining is that they haven't been active in the area for over 12 months and the track is open. Still need Community's ok. I'm planning on doing it (Alice to Sandfire) in July, 2014. The last 300+ks west is (still?) a graded road. Follow link for
