We visited in May 2014 and had a lovely few days despite the constant drizzling rain. A new
toilet block is near
the entrance, with the old block relegated to busy times only (due to minimum distance of 100m+ rules). Exposed cold water shower, flushing toilets - one of which is set up for wheelchairs, and hand basins. No firewood was available at the
camp site - BYO is always the better option. Wood can be purchased from Nillup General Store, Karridale and
Augusta. Karridale roadhouse can also refill a gas bottle if they don't have any 'swap' bottles of the required size available. Potable water is available from a tap attached to a tree in the middle of the. The weekend after Mother's Day was very busy as a local Harriers group arrived on Friday evening for their 'fishing competition' weekend. We suspect not many fish took the bait due to the over abundance of 'burley' in the water (grins). A great place to spend some time relaxing, and a good base
camp for exploring the local area. The facilities and general cleanliness are a credit to the caretaker's hard work.
