Alcoz we were there last year for the second time and had no problems. Stayed at the big 4 out near the zoo. Nice park.

Also there is a C/P west of Dubbo on top of a hill near the old drive-in. Stayed there a few years ago and found it very good. Bob

We were there for a couple of days 2 weeks ago and there was no walk thru's or riff raff getting around, can get a little noisy though but mainly from activity outside of the park, very busy place Dubbo.

Just remember Dubbo has the highest "theft from motor vehicle" in the State so take precautions.

At least if it's a nudist group they don't have pockets to hide the nicked iPhones!

I will second the Big 4 it was tidy and felt secure, just don't leave anything out to attract attention, we heard of no problems when we were there last sept.

Cheers John.

Lock everything away when you leave, and make sure no valuables are visible at any time, or even reachable during the night eg put you wallet under the mattress. Many stay in the various Dubbo CPs and very few encounter problems. We chose to stay out of town and commute, but not because of security concerns. We enjoyed our visit to the town and the zoo, where a ticket lasts two days, and you need that time.

Motherhens advice is certainly on the money.
We visited quite a few times earlier this year to visit with family and we stayed at the Westview CP which is out near the old drive in theatre.
Family parks members discount and the park although old is well maintained and the amenities are very clean. salt water pool was nice. Big sites and you can usually pick the one you want. Late checkout was no charge. 5 mins from Dubbo CBD and the highway traffic dies off about 7.30pm.

Shady sites and we had no worries with any of our gear and did not hear of any others. saw no one that did not belong in the park as it is just far enough out of town to be away from the problems.

We will certainly stay there next time.
