Gday all,
just wondering anyone been up the OTT yet this year and if so what the conditions are like. Any info appreciated

On the new Ranger website is a post of a group tat returned, Was not too bad and crossings still high as expected. Exits a bit muddy. Croc seen at Nolans at night confirmed.....

Still draining and very muddy, call the Croc Tent or go to the Croc Tents web site.

Palm Creek very muddy on the way in, winch only to get out the other side.

Most creeks are deep and ay require winching to get out, Nolans deepest part is 1.8 mtrs.


Apart from that, piece of cake ........

Give it a couple of weeks..

Or take the bypass road and avoid all the dramas. Some relatives came down for a funeral last week, drove it in one go as is the locals' custom. Their overall report was that the road is good.

I booked a bunch of camp sites , only to get an email a few days later stating that they were closed as the rangers couldn't get in to inspect them. next review date- 1 month away.

Plans change. What can you do?

There would be plenty of other camping options outside of National Parks which don't require booking.
