Road Conditions

ExplorOz has access to main roads, shire council and national parks road condition reporting facilities and compiles this information into an easy to read report.

Member - Keith B (QLD)

Only 9 days until I depart for the CSR, returning via the ABH - from and to Brisbane.
I would appreciate any latest information on track conditions etc for these great roads.

Which direction are you going? Also when will you return to the internet to give us a report?

Going north to south and yes, I will definitely post a report. I am due back in Brisbane about July 20.

Hi Keith

From what I am hearing from Robin, the wildflower are in full bloom.

Graham at Ilkurka prefers credit card for purchases, and always has lots of fuel on hand.
Keep your tyre pressures low on the Anne Beadell and anything less that 7 days on there is a real rush.

Thanks. Yes - have replaced with a new set and carrying a full set of replacements including rubbers. These roads are shockers aren't they.

When are you coming across the ABH?

We will be heading west from 24 June onwards, via Maralinga. Then back via Great Central Road, and Sandy Blight Junction...

Hey Baz,
I expect to be on the Anne Beadell from about July 7 (heading east from Laverton via the Lake Rason road). From those dates, looks like we may not meet but as you say - enjoy.
