I stayed with Charlie and Ann in 1973 when I had mechanical problems & was bogged nearby... We borrowed their tractor to extricate the vehicle and stayed in their shearers' quarters overnight. Carisbrooke was a great place then, before the tourism boom. It can only be better now. It's still run by the family, and you will definitely be richer for the experience. Python gorge, aboriginal art, jumpups, the brilliant keyline irrigation system, and great hospitality from truly genuine people.
Don't miss it, and Have fun!

Thanks, 73 was a long time ago, but I don't think people change. We'll dot it!
