Shaz n Steve
We sent out a call a few months back that we were heading for the cape in June and we had a response from Ian and Penny from NSW. I have tried to send a message back to you but for what ever reason it is not working So I am posting it again. We are leaving
Newcastle next Sunday the 15th and are heading up to Kurunba and will be there on the 29th. we are heading up through
Carnarvon gorge and
Lawn Hill. If you are going this way it would be good to catch up. It would be good to hear from anyone else out there that is heading for the cape at the same time as we are travelling alone and it is always good to have a travelling partner.

Hi Shaz and Steve
We are in
Cairns at the moment waiting for weather to improve, as we have had 3 days of very wet weather, so don't hurry and let the roads dry out.
Cheers
Rob

From
the Croc Tent:
Just spoke with
Coen Police to
check on the alleged road closure between
Coen and Archer River, the officer advised that there had been no actual road closure but confirmed that the recent rain had definitely had a serious impact on road conditions. He suggested that there were some quite deep ruts and washouts and a few muddy patches, but everything was drying out nicely already. Drive safe!
