We have just come back down after doing
Cape York over the past 2 weeks. We had an awesome time (even with the rain). We had trouble with the zip on the cover of our camper trailer and by the time we got to
Mareeba yesterday it had completely broken. We would like to recommend Taylor's Upholster in
mareeba as he fitted us in easily today so we can continue our trip back to WA.
P.s. The steak burgers at
Laura are to die for!

We didn't do the old tele track as we were towing the trailer ( and needed the car to be 100% ok to get us the 6,000 kms to get
home), but we did go in and have a look at palm creek and gunshot. Both had chicken tracks. We only went through the one crossing to get us into Elliot falls which are a must.

Geoff, you should have had a burger at the
Palmer River Roadhouse as
well, they are also great. I have been up in Palmer River area 13 times since 04 and it was the first time I have seen rain there after May. We had a wet day on Sunday. Have a safe trip back
home.
