Hey
Have heard bad reports of the road (soft sand etc). Has anyone done it recently, planning to go mid July; booked 'Five Rocks'
camping area but can change it.

Been across to 5 rocks a few times and never had a problem. Just air down before you hit the sand. I run about 18psi going across from by field to 5 rocks with no problems.
Enjoy, it is a lovely spot and a nice drive.
