Hi forumites, Just want to know if anyone has been into Sandy Cove recently & what the condition of the track is, esp for caravans.
Cheers Tony N

Was there before the long weekend no problems all good, kept in pretty good nick for the Gypsum mine. The tipper drivers can get a bit excited so watch any blind corners.

Sandy Cape in Beekeepers Reserve is one of the nicest little camping spots and beach I've been into in recent years.
No trouble taking the dual-wheeled VW motorhome into all the spots in the campground.
Just look out for oversize on the road, they move earthmoving gear in and out of the gypsum mine regularly. As a result, the road is graded regularly.
Don't forget to pay your camping fee, the ranger comes in very early every morning.
The nice touch here was the convenient row of 10litre bottles of water set up on posts so you can flush out your porta potti. The beach is also just beautiful in this spot.
