Humpback
Top End Motors for mechanical and electrical work.
I went to them for some electrical work on the BT (new loom) and found them very good.
Wayne, the foreman has left but speak to Luke Robinson, the owner.
Btw, no affiliation.
Cheers
Andrew

Humpback, most of the service
places in
Kununurra are OK - the difficulty as we've found in the past is that they (quite rightfully) put their regular customers first, and the blow-ins go to the back of the queue.
If you have a fairly firm idea of when you'll be there, then book in at least 2-3 weeks in advance.
We've found it not unusual to be told to come back in 3-4 weeks if we want a service. Some are more flexible than others, and we've struck a couple of grumpy ones, however you can see their point - they get a bit fed up with Bert & Doris turning up on the door-step and expecting it to be done tomorrow.....

And you can also have to wait for parts. We were there about a week ago and needed new electric brakes on our camper trailer after the Tanami road had shaken ours loose and they said it would take a week for the parts to get there. So we drove back to
Sydney with no trailer brakes. I'm glad we didn't have to wait there for a week.

A week for parts to get to
Kununurra would be a minor miracle.

I would recommend you contact Vanderfield Toyota,
Kununurra. They sell and service Toyotas and
John Deere. I was there a few weeks ago and a mate had his vehicle serviced there. Good people to deal with - and do it with a smile.
Like others have suggested you should give plenty of notice as they are likely to be busy.
No affiliation, just impressed with people and service provided.
Not so impressed with Vanderfield Toyota,
Katherine where I had my vehicle serviced.
Regards, Jack

Amazingly, there's no Ford dealer or authorised Ford repair centre in
Kununurra - the nearest Ford agents are in
Darwin (Hidden Valley Ford) or
Broome (
Broome Ford).
With a rare and complex vehicle such as the F450, you will find that no-one in
Kununurra will stock any parts, including filters, for this model vehicle.
So you will be up for a wait, if you just
rock up, and filters are required.
The alternative is to call ahead, and organise the business to get the necessary filters and maintenance items required, to be freighted in - or pick them up in
Broome or
Darwin, and carry them with you.
Road freight of any parts or maintenance items required will take several days, air freight will be within 48 hrs, but at much higher cost.
KDS Mechanical Repairs will be worth a call, they appear to be "tourist friendly" according to at least one happy campers
feedback.

Excellent point.
A logbook service should be easy for any mechanic.
Things will go south quickly if anything needs replacing.
I would definitely organise the consumables your self. It will save money time and if the mechanic csn see everything is there no hassle for a logbook service he is more likely to push it through.. money for jam.
Besides that.... who wouldnt want to see an f450
