Hmmm, my thanks says 1 ?
I did try it again to see if it went to 2 for interest sake, but still says 1x.
This may have in fact been 8x in my curiosity to see it change. :)

Keep in mind if a person clicks 4 times, it will show a count of 2 because the first time gave the thanks, the second time it removed the thanks and then repeat. It's a toggle button on/off. The OP would only get the alerts for each click "on". So they'd get 2 emails.

Never heard of anyone getting too many thanks ! ;)

Hi Michelle,

Just one email for your thanks, I think that sums it up.

Michelle/Doug,

I received 8 thanks emails the other day, and none of them registered on my "thanks" icon. No worries, I'll take all I can get :-)

Someone must really love you Doug :) . You deserve it.

I have my email notifications for Thanks turned off to reduce the emails I get, but still have emails activated for replies on forum and for member messages.

Could it have been a glitch with your ISP? I can sometimes get the same email a few times, if the ISP doesn't think it went through properly, but four is the most I have head when this happened.

Doug, it seems instantaneous today without any changes our end. You just have to accept that some days/times machines run faster than other days - depending on the load.

I just tried it, took about 4 seconds , it's OK providing one does not keep clicking, people must have patience and wait,

Doug, maybe it could be "greyed out" after one click like the post button was, after we were getting duplicated replies & follow ups.
