This is a test from the new servers. An interesting upshot of this migration is the storage of date times moves from EST to GMT, I am working out how much work is involved in this little update.

Blah Blah this is so much fun.....

This thread will be deleted - please DO NOT RESPOND to this thread, I do not want a load of emails and I want to use this thread for testing.

Blah Blah

Forum date storage is based on getDate() in SQL server so the zone will not change till I update to the new DB server.

The client IP address is not valid as I am getting the ELB address - update the forum code to use the new getAddress() method.

Blah Blah - These message are not meant to mean anything to anyone but me - blah blah..

Love my job!!!!

All client IP calls updated in all code modules.

The timezone thing is giving me a headache....

In playing around in the forum code I found a glaring hole in my send email routines and have now re-written the email sending process to pass the request to background process - this speeds up the Thanks and all other iterations that send email.

PS: To those reading this you will not see these updates till next week when I switch over to the new system.

Forum testing and updates now complete the system is perfect on AWS. In fact some of the little things that have not worked for a wee while are now working as expected and some are working even better. Some things I did not even know were not working till I was testing everything - so it will be even better than before...

Yeah. My brain still hurts about managing the timezone changes.

Bugga I have to fully test the image uploaders and processes....
