Hi Can anyone help. We have bought a 21 Series 2011 New Age Jewel Caravan which is fantastic. We bought it 2nd hand in
Perth but it came with no specifications for wiring,
suspension, plumbing etc. I have had many discussions with New Age both by email and by phone and they tell me that they don't have the specs for the caravan as at the time they had no processes in place ? Please see below
"I understand your comments however as previously explained we are unable to provide you any diagrams regarding plumbing or electrical components.
The contractors worked off their own plans. Procedures were not in place to have these specified to each customised vans".
My question is .. has anyone else had this problem with either New Age or other manufacturers, and should there be an undertaking from the manufatureres to provide specs in case repairs, parts etc are needed? Is there a peak body that I could contact?
Many Thanks
Arnie

I guess it doesn't really matter what today's requirements are, if they don't have the schematics, they don't have them!

ok....enough said.
You are not going to get anything, because it doesn't exist.
There should have been a job/estimation sheet for the build..or maybe not, maybe the contractors...worked off their own plans and everything sort of joined up.

We had the same problem with a Crusader caravan...purchased new.
When we wanted to do some modifications, we enquired about an electrical wiring diagram to show where the wiring is being run. There reply was that each caravan is unique and a wiring diagram doesn't exist. Pretty scary when you want to drill into the walls without knowing what is lurking behind.

And many mainstream manufacturers, especially of custom builder will not supply details and they main contain propriety information - that would be of use to competitors.
