If I send a private message to someone I cannot seem to find a copy of it. Is it accessible somewhere or is it gone forever.

Nah, Chris. The system does not cater to provide you with a copy of your sent message. At least my computer doesn't.

Now someone will reply and say "yes it does, at least if the recipients computer is identical to the sender's computer and at the same temperature and.........."
Oh sorry, this isn't a battery or electrical thread is it?

What I have done if I wish to keep a copy Chris is "copy-and-paste" it into a notepad before hitting the Send button.
Cheers
Allan

Thats what I thought. Many people have in their profile their real email address so in future I will use that.

I may be remembering wrong, as other forums keep a copy of sent messages, but I thought this one did until a year or so ago. I now sometimes find myself thinking, did I send a reply to a message I received, or only think about it. Sounds silly, but after a while is is difficult to be certain.

Exactly my problem, did I reply, and what did I say. The solution is to use ordinary email if you can.

Chris in your My Home page there will be your Message log. It will show sent days and times when you reply to or send a MM.

Just checked my log and can confirm.

Cheers

Hi Duncan, my My Home page shows Member Messages 0 Unread, 16 Messages. When I click the blue "View Messages" I get a heading of "Inbox" and a listing of the 16 messages I have received. There are no sent messages anywhere.
I do not understand. You must see a different My Home to me. Sounds like one for David.

Me too, same as Chris. There is only info about "Received Messages", nothing about sent ones.
Perhaps Duncan you have a better computer than the rest of us? I have just a crummy iMac running Safari browser.

Me thinks I was being a tad smart for my own good. I see the sent message when somebody replies not in a separate sent folder. Agree with you all that that there isn't a sent box which would be nice if there was.
