We are needing to travel from
Cairns to
Adelaide in a pretty short space pullng our Van with the landcruiser, and we were wondering the shortest and or most direct route to go
Can you people give us some guidance. We are fullyl sell contained so can
free camp as we travel

Cairns to Adelaide
A good number of choices for camping on that route.

We have done that route a few times and it is all good sealed roads.

Distance Calculator - Auinfo into your search engine (Google) and you will get everything you need including all towns to go through, distances between towns, etc, shown on a map of Australia. It's a good site for travellers.

Another good site to use for this type of information is ww.goseeaustralia.com.au where they have a Plan A Trip section, then enter your start and finish points, and any intermediate points, and it will then show the route (all on sealed roads) and also the distances in both map and trip notes forms.
