That's right water is flowing into Lake Eyre!!!
It has been confirmed that the Warburton Creek is flowing into Lake Eyre
North (between 1/8 and 1/4 of Lake Eyre North is covered by a skin of
water). The Cooper Creek however is a long way off.
It is expected it to take a further 2 maybe 3 weeks for the water to
meet the landings where it can be viewed by tourists but it can definitely
be seen from the air.
See you there
Mike

Fantastic! Our estimates were right - at the start we said mid-March, then when the water came in so quickly we revised to end February. Remember though that the Cooper water WILL NOT get to Lake Eyre. Regardless, it is brilliant to fly over and see it going through the Warburton Channel - also even with a thin covering of water in the Lake you get the most brilliant colours and the most wonderful patterns in the sand which can be seen through the water when flying. Well done Ruth.
I have enjoyed your commentary these last weeks.
I understand the next National Parks Bulletin will be issued on Monday and will reflect this information.

Ah Mr Toonfish, I need to speak with you. Apart from that - why are you worrying about cheap flights - 'You have your own duck', said Alice through the looking glass. If you find some cheap flights send them out here - it costs me $900 to fly Bdv/Bris/Bdv! I will try your web. These are Diamantina Barra (Yellowbelly)
