A mate of mine in FNQ has one of these vehicles and is after some all terrain tyres. I think the tyre size is 225x 65 x17. As I know nothing about this vehicle any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers Tom

Tom, I would suggest Bridgestone Dueler A/T D697 225/65R17 102S.

Good all round AT tyre. I have a set for my 100 series low noise good grip and can do all bush and a set of BFG KM2's for my serious off road stuff.

I 2nd that. Bridgestone 697 has been an excellent tyre. Now done 25,000km and still quiet , lots of tread, handles well and survived the GRR no problem

My wife had a CR-V it was noisy enough with highway pattern tyres, you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think with ATs.

I forgot to add, maybe they have improved the soundproofing in the current series.

Yokohama Geolander A/T-S are good. They fit on Foresters which are around the same size. Pretty quiet for an AT, they wear well and they are tough. Pirelli Scorpion ATR come in just about every size and get good reviews as well.

price, performance and range of sizes its pretty hard to seperate the scorpions and the geolanders.

The tyre comparos generally cant seperate them......both generally review better than the bridgestones and the majority of other all terains....especially if you want good road performance.

I'm running a set of scorpions, & Id have em over the bridgestones any day...that was the previous tyres.

cheers

Yokohama has a buy 3 get one free promo on currently which will sweeten the pot if he can get the Geolanders for a reasonable price. Price and ready availability is usually where the Bridgestones (a good but not great all-rounder in my experience with the bigger versions) win out.
