The Paynes Find to Sandstone road is a good track. Sandstone to Leinster is a sealed road in v good condition. Alternatively you can drive Sandstone to Wiluna via the Gidgee Gold Mine road, also a good track.

Paynes Find to Sandstone to Wiluna via Yeelirrie (not via Leinster) is a good outback dirt and gravel road. Obviously things could change after rain.

Off the top of my head it is about 80km shorter than going up the highway to Meekatharra but via Meeka you then have only 200 km of dirt to Wiluna.

So six of one, half a dozen of the other. Maybe save an hour or so but a couple of hundred km less dirt
