can you fit an awning on a prorack hd series roof rack

hi there i have prorack hd series roof racks on my toyota surf and am thinking of getting an awning but with a little research i have had a little trouble finding any that is compatible anyone have any that they know of that fit or any ideas?

The awnings come with rightangle brackets. Most just drill holes through the roof bars and bolt the awning on.

so what your saying is the only reason they say they don't fit is because they don't provide the holes, if thats the case then thats an easy solution to just drill them myself

Correct. I think most people have to do some minor modification to their roof bars to add an awning. I added some C channel to my roof bars to extend them so I could carry 2 kayaks on the roof. I fitted an awning to my Pro Rack Whisbar System. I made my own mounting nuts using aluminium flatbar and nutserts. This allowed me to bolt up without having annoying bolts sticking up in the air, a much neater installation IMHO
