MQ/MK???

I have had what I thought to be a MQ for the last 12 months but am now not so sure. My old girl is an 84 SWB with square lights, SD33 and a 5 speed. The thing is that I read the other day that only the MK had a 5 speed. I would just look at the plate but it's under the aux battery and that would be more hasle than it's worth. Can anybody help me out?

Rule of thumb, MQ round headlights, MK square headlights.
What do the rego papers say. Sometimes the VIN will give you a clue.
Regaurdless you still have a 4wd that is hard to kill.

I had an 85 with the SD33T and square headlights. It was referred to by most people who know Nissans as an MK. I generally found that when I was after spare parts for the old girl, MQ was what most shops knew it as.

Cosmetic changes only I believe. Round versus square!. MQ was the early model, MK a later model I understand.
