Birdsville Track is quite rocky in
places expect to slow down and
Savannah Way between
Roper Bar and Hells
Gate has VERY BAD corrugations mainly toward the Western part. Cheers.

About a month ago I came through to Hell's
gate from
Roper Bar and we all thought the road was very good. Some
creek crossings needed care. But I guess the road conditions can change quickly and road conditions are quite personal.
I was towing a 19ft van and thought it was very good especially if compared to some other roads I have been on such as Wolf
Creek crater and Karijini NP about a year ago

Used the
Birdsville Track a couple of weeks ago and for the most part it was better than most bitumen roads. A couple of gibber patches but nothing to give any concern

I travelled from
Birdsville yesterday at 100kph all the way except for passing oncoming vehicles and grids. The track this week is excellent. This shows how quickly info on gravel roads becomes outdated.
