Moreton can get quite busy and numbers are limited, so you need to book. I haven't been over for quite a while but recall quite a few good camping spots along the main beach near Freshwater.

We go every year before Christmas early December. Stay at Ben Ewa just north of the wrecks on west coast. West because the sunsets are beautiful and the east is always blowing a gale. Cost to stay is around $10 per night but must book online and get
beach access pass also. We take a camper and it is just under $500 for both on Mycat return. Great place and plenty of other
camp spots to choose from. No fuel available on the island but a tank full should get you to all the
places in a week. Make sure you study the tides and work a trip to karingal on the south of the island. Enjoy your stay. And take snorkelling gear and boogie board for the sand dunes.
