Hi all. We are planning to travel around Oz in May, June,July, August, Sept, Oct, and Nov next year. Towing 17 ft dual wheel Jayco with our 2005 Prado V6. We have seen a lot of comments re travelling clockwise or anticlockwise round Oz. We plan to go anticlockwise leaving our
home near Brissy and then to
Roma,
Longreach, Isa, Tennant Ck,
Katherine,
Kununurra,
Broome,
Perth,
Adelaide etc.
Your comments and advice please.

Drive safely.

Not sure what advice you want? On the direction of travel (but this appears already researched and decided upon)?

Leaving Queensland in May there is really no other option - otherwise you would be heading into winter in the south. The only advantage in that is that the van parks wont be full. Have a good trip.
Cheers,

Hey Val - another advantage of going south first would be the potential to experience snow.

Direction is right for that departure date - just know when school holidays are on in relevant states and try and avoid peak
places at these times, or book ahead where required to secure your spot.
