Hi everyone,
I am wondering if it is possible to buy 'anti-theft' cargo nets for your cargo basket - ie. nets you can't cut with knives/scissors and that can lock to the cargo basket somehow. It would provide more peace of mind when leaving expensive tents/gear on your basket when you go for a half day walk...
Something made of wire rope/kevlar or something similar?
Thanks if you can help. Maybe, someone should start manufacturing them if no one makes them yet....

This being the generation of the cordless angle grinder, nothing's too secure these days.
Perhaps a roof top bag will "hide" your gear from inquisitive eyes, with a couple of the above locks to make it more difficult to remove any items?

Going by forums, theft of gear of the roof rack is not a real issue...... years ago anything not locked on a vehicle would be stolen.
In all our years travelling we have never had anything stolen from the vehicle.
Most
places people go to either populated or remote..... in both cases to take something off a roof rack would be a major job..... in a populated area someone would say something or get there ID and the chances of someone taking the risk to steal something large a being caught would be another reason it may never happen.
And remote speaks for it's self.
May be another result of over thinking a situation that will never occur..... Plus that's what insurance is for.
