I have recently purchased a camping stove that runs on LPG but I'm not sure whether to buy the standard cylinder or the 3/8 most of the gas stations use the standard fittings for the cylinder so wouldn't it just be easier to buy ya standard cylinder and fit it with an adapter for the stove ?

G'day John
FWIW my 2kg cylinders are 3/8. I carry a 3/8-POL adapter to run the baby weber. Used it more than once when servo's couldn't find their POL-3/8 adapter. YMMV. (Can't fit bigger cylinders in the ventilated cabinet of the troopy camper.)

Cheers
Mark

So long as you have an adapter (3/8 to POL or POL to 3/8) depending on gas cylinder you cannot go wrong. That is unless you start involving the BBQs and other gas appliances that use the non-refillable gas containers. That is where MANY of my customers in Bunnings get stuck!!!!

Thanks the adapter seems to be the easiest solution and bunnings have them for about 6 dollars
