We crossed the
Mitchell River on 4th August from the Dunbar side towards Koolatah
The crossing is wide and mostly shallow
The base is an interlocking plastic/rubber matting about 3 metres wide.
On the Dunbar side there is a washout on the base below the matting on the down river side about 5 metres in from the waterline
The washout causes the water the run a bit deeper and faster in this section although the up river portion of the matting is a little spongy it is still very secure.
We put the OKA over with no problems.
The Prado with the Bigfoot in tow was no problem although the trailer twitched a little and we did a small amount of water under one of the drawers.
Hope this helps. Trev
