Looks like Scrubby Creek between Fruit Bat and Eliot Falls on Cape York. Bit scary looking but not too bad in practice. Up over the headlights on our cruiser.

They had rain and a lot of cars!
When we arrived there were about 20 cars on the southern side trying to work out what to do.
After we went through in the Prado and Bigfoot several of them decided to head back to the main road.

Little bit surprised to see it this deep in August. What were the other crossings like?

Sam's Crossing wasn't very deep but the approaches were a real mess with tracks everywhere.
There was a deep hole with a rock ledge on the far side. Hence the trip through the scrub.

Canal wasn't all that deep. Once again there was a deep hole and a rock ledge if you went straight ahead.
