Satellite TV on Laptop

Hi
Looking for information on how I can view my Sat TV system on my Laptop.
I thought I could use the HDMI on the Laptop, but that is an Output NOT an Input !
Not sure if there is any other way or whether I need to carry a TV as
well.
Any tech Guru's out there have any advice ?
