Comment: EOTrackMe

My SPOT 3 is suddenly showing up as 'Un-registered', as per Ron & Carol "http://www.exploroz.com/Forum/Topic/108825/Review__EOTrackMe.aspx", taking my latest tracking information with it.
Is this a bug or a feature?

Did you by chance become non financial for a period - as the system auto un-registers devices if this happens? I am interested to find out about this as there is no other way known to me to un-register a device.

In any case if you open the device - Open the EOTrackMe page and select the My Tracking tab and simply edit your device and press Save this will activate it. The system will then at the next scheduled check time reach out to the SPOT servers and download the latest positions that are available.

Geoff & Peter,

Can you confirm the above or if you are convinced you have not expired for a period let me know the date you think/believe the system un-registered the device?

I can still log in so I assume my subscription has not expired. Actually, if I wanted to know about that, i would probably ask you.
As far as I recall, the deregistration occurred around 1 Sept. Also, there is no 'Edit' action under the 'My Tracking' tab.

Geoff,

The button should look like this:

It is in the same place as the Edit button cause once you register the device the words change to Edit device I forgot that it says Register. Anyway please press this and hit Save - the device will re-register and collect recent data from the SPOT servers.

I am confused about the de-register - I will investigate some more. I do recall added some code that de-registered devices once the SPOT system was telling us the device was invalid and there may be something funny going on.

Any problems moving forward please let us know.

Done. SPOT appear to dump the raw data within a week or two of the last capture - that may be causing the de-registration issue. Thanks.
