Empress Spring

Empress Spring was named by Explorer David Wynford Carnegie as “a humble tribute to the world-wide rejoicings over the long reign of our Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria.

Hi there,

I thought I'd put together a video on Empress Spring whilst I was there recently.
If you ever are on the Great Central Road, or the Gunbarrel Highway it is certainly worth a look.

Well worth the visit, and we enjoyed our trip there in July. Looking forward to heading further north on the DCR in the not too distant future...

The north half of the DCR is great too.
I went to Windich Rockhole, it still had water, but it was way down.

Hi Stephen,
Massie performed great guard duty in the cab of the vehicle, as much as she wanted to be part of all the action :-)
Going by the visitors book there is always a steady stream of visitors at the spring 9 months of year.
