Hey,
how are yas goin?
Unfortunately my front LH side's power window stopped working.
I haven't pulled it apart yet, but I already saw some
forum topics about failing motors and stuff.
I thought it might be better to just get a new one and so I did some research.
Genuine motors are around $260, but then I found those:
TOYOTA LANDCRUISER 80 SERIES POWER WINDOW REGULATOR LH NEW
Has anyone tried them yet?
Cheers, Mark

If it is the motor and not just the switched supply of 12v. Many, many motors are available from doors at wreckers. Most look and are the same. maybe a few brands.
Any motor of same same out of a smashed door will be cheap and effective.
If from the rear windows of a vehicle they will be almost brand new, although might require a lube with oil on the bushes to ensure top performance.
Never go and buy new or after market, when genuine nearly new is perfect.

I agree with get outmore,
check for power. I had a 62 series which had same problem so I pulled the switches out and found the terminals were quite dirty. Cleaned the contact points on the switches and all fixed so worth a try before you spend your money.

My RH front power window failed and I replaced it with one from Westside over a year ago. It is still going good and I can recommend it.

Hey guys,
just got my replacement regulator, but I'm curious how to wind the window down manually to get it out?
Since the window is stuck all the way up, I probably can't get the regulator out the service hole :-/
Cheers, Mark
