Re the online delivery of
EOTopo updates, 14GB isn't much these days. Too big for email but direct download is eminently possible. I downloaded more than that last night, about 30GB, on an ADSL2+ connection.

That's fine if you have ADSL2+. Those of us in technological backwaters don't have those luxuries :-)
cheers

According to the ABS, as at June 2013, 98% of Oz internet connections already classify as broadband. I live 2 hours from the nearest traffic lights in a village of 200 people. ADSL is available to the vast majority, and soon, remote area folks will be able to pay twice as much for half the speed when the NBN eventually delivers satellite and fixed wireless connections that we'll be forced to use.

Hi Geoff
Sorry - my reply was meant to be a bit tongue-in-cheek. I live in a relatively new estate 25km north of
Brisbane GPO. We don't have the
infrastructure for fast ADSL unless we want to go for the cost of Telstra.
I realise that my situation doesn't apply to the vast majority of the Australians.
cheers
Kevin
ps - and I'll still get the
EOTopo upgrade however I can. :-)
