Anyone tell me whether they think it's worth paying for ESC on a single axle 16' van?
I really know nothing when it comes to the modern safety aids :-(

Probably depends on what you are towing it with.

Some of the more modern vehicles include Trailer Sway Control in the ESC programme. My BT50 has it and I know the LC200 also has it.

If you are towing with a lighter vehicle then it could save your life in an emergency situation.

Is it worth having ABS and Air Bags in a car...... no not really until you need them.

The way I look at it is evey bit of help can be the difference between having an accident or not........ and living.

What you will find is in the future all caravans will have it a standard making ones with out it harder to sell.

Yes well I'm towing with a 2000 TD Prado....No Airbags, no ABS and no ESC
Funnily enough it was the salesman this time saying "I don't think it's of too much use on a van under 16 foot" I would have expected the opposite..."yes. it's only $$$$, you should have it" :-)

Hi,
It was a personal choice but I had one fitted to my recently purchased Coromal Atlas 432RTV.
Check out the ALKO ESC web site and watch the video, it is very interesting.
