Handheld Condor HF

Have been trying to track down the Condor that has been mentioned previously. I think it was truckster that provided a link but aprt from that i don't seem to get much further - my emails get returned and I don't where else to try.

Any ideas

In all reality US$1680 is FAR to expensve for 1W limited freq radio (unless you NEED a HF HT). You cant rely on 'skip' for emergency comms. Note also the limit of 6MHz as highest freq of the two selectable.

A$1700 will get you a good 100W Codan or Barratt with more acceptable antenna (even auto tune for 825/828 codans).

All this is not to say the unit mentioned is BAD.

I did see one for sale at the recent 4wd swap meet for closer to A$350 (from memory)
