Buyer Beware if your computer runs on Windows 8!! I recently purchased a InmarsatPro satphone only to find that when I tried to download the software from the included CD to my computer it is incompatible with computers running Windows 8/8.1. I then tried to download it from the Inmarsat web site, but that says it is only compatible with Windows Vista, XP and W7. I then contacted Inmarsat, and was advised that they are working on a driver for W8/8.1, but it was still some way off.
The retailer did not mention the above at time of purchase. Fortunately, this computer still runs on W7. Whether he was aware of this I don't know. I emailed him, and am still awaitng a response.
