I have a Spot2 device which is programmed to feed the data collected to ExplorOz and Spotwalla.
The link to ExplorOz is http://www.exploroz.com/EOTrackMe/Default.aspx#tab=0&d=0vMc7kczjnRqRKfDb3QRc18Llu8AvVo5H
The link to Spotwalla is
https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=9bab5375cc1b4bd49

On the 1st Sept my Spot device became unregistered on ExplorOz so no further tracking is shown.

One. How could my Spot device become unregistered on ExplorOz without my input? On this date I was at EMU in SA some considerable distance from and internet connection.

Two. Is there any way I can transfer data from Spotwalla to ExplorOz to correct the situation with ExplorOz?

The EOTrackMe appears to be unreliable these days, it never used to be.

Isn't there something on the Spot page about renewing links every couple of months??

I have read the instructions and they do not say you have to renew the link every so often.

Unfortunately I've given up on EO track me. It is just too unreliable and very dissapointing when I get home and there are no or partial tracks.

Great idea but too unstable.

David, I have a Samsung Note 2 and a Motorola Defy plus, both Android. Though I haven't tried using them lately.

Thanks did you happen to try the latest version from Play. I managed to solve the issue you originally had with the program stopping? This was published - ah trying to remember a few months back maybe?

I thought I dropped you an email at the time but my memory bank is full so trying to pull the right item from the storage is not going as well as I would like.

David you did suggest that at the time and I did instal it. But unfortunately I moved to another solution as I was going away again and didn't want to lose more tracks. As a result I have not tested EO track me properly.

Chris,

I have seen a few strange issue with device registration of the spot devices. I am investigating how this can happen as only on membership expiry should this occur.

Will advise shortly.

Chris,

I can see the code that would be causing the disable however I am not sure why it is triggering - I have removed this code for the time being and will invetsigate however this will not occur again. Did you re-register the device already? What happened to the tracking line once you did this did it catch up?

Hi David,

I re-registered my device the other day and the tracking did not change.
I have been in Perth since the 4th Oct and have not had my Spot on.
I have turned it on today and the tracking is showing a straight line from Emu to Perth, so the tracking is now working again but has not caught up.
Hope this helps, ring if this is of assistance.

Cheers,

Chris

My device 'de-registered' recently. I hadn't used it since 23 Aug and when I recently went to save the trek I couldn't find the track. I finally noticed on the 'My Device Settings' page that it was 'un-registered'. Clicking to register it solved the problem.
