Heh heh, that brings back a few memories! I can recall being with the brother as he drove across a flooded
bridge at the 14 Mile Brook on the Wandering-Narrogin Rd in his HJ61 in the early 80's.
The
bridge railings were only just poking out of the floodwaters, and as he drove through, a bow wave came over the bonnet that the wipers had trouble getting rid of!
The floodwater was lapping the door window seals, and I was sure we were going to end up stopping there!
However, the old HJ61 just churned through, and out the other side, without missing a beat!
It's interesting to note the military ancestry of a lot of the de-bogging and winching techniques.

Some of the locations shown are pretty much untouched too.
Most of the advice given still holds true today.
