This is always an argument, what is allowed and what isn't, but here is what I stumbled on.

Bull Bar Rules

It looks official, ie: a lot of detail that is boring to read, but necessary to know if it affects you.

Interesting reading Dave, though I don't think I have enough stubbies on hand to wade through it carefully.

I would expect at the end of the day, if the bar was manufactured by any one of the name brands it would likely? comply. Not necessarily the case if you are sporting a DIY jobbie though.

Is this different from Thread 109878 a couple of days ago?

No idea who/what issuu might be, but the original publication is far more easy to read, and direct from the RMS site. BTW, applicability might be limited to NSW registered vehicles!
Here 'tis

Reason the link from OP appears "official" is that it is a reproduced (and who knows how it has been "edited") version of the original source document.

When all else fails, go to the source!

Hi Johnat
I checked out your link, and it appears the info is the same.

I also checked out who/what ISSUU is/are, and it appears they are only a digital printing/document format that organizations use.

Also, prior to starting this thread, I did a search with the keywords 'bull bar', and only found older, archived stuff, but as Alan has pointed out, this was covered a short time ago. Sorry for wasting everyone's time,
Dave
