Does any one know what type of thread is on a Staun Tyre deflator. (The thread that screws on to the tube) I need to repair the thread on one of my deflators but I cant seem to find a tap to suit it. Any suggestions?

"External thread

Metric: 7.7 mm OD, thread root diameter is 6.9 mm × 0.794 mm pitch.
Imperial: 0.305 in OD, thread root diameter 0.271 in × 32 tpi (threads per inch)"

A bit more digging indicates that it is a 0.307 x 32 UNS (Unified National Special ) indicating it is an odd size, but taps are available.

Might be cheaper to buy a new set of deflators though...

Thanks Hoyks.
You may be right. A UNS tap is a bit pricey.
I thought I might be able to dig a tap up at work if I knew what I was looking for. But I doubt I will find a UNS tap.
Thanks for your help

Rema Tip Top have in their cattle-dog a 4-way valve repair tool EX-1525
(mainly for tractor tyres) which has 2 internal thread cutters, VG8, & VG10..

I'm not 100% sure (as I don't have one to check), but I think the VG8 size is the one you're looking for...

Have a look here >> Rema Tip Top valves & valve accessories
Scroll down to the "Valve repair tools" and check out Ref. No. 102111

Here's a closer look >> Valve tool EM EX-1525

Any tyre place which regularly handles tractor tyres would probably have a few lying around...
