Hello Exploroz Community, we would like to spend a few days in the Sunshine Coast (yes as close to the ocean as possible) but despite internet searches and looking at 5 years worth of back-copies of our RV Magazines it seems the closest you can get to the coast between
Tweed Heads and Gympie is if you stay in a caravan park or opt for the hinterland regions. Are we missing something or does someone know of a 'sneaky squirrel' spot we can put up
camp in our fully self-contained LWB Coaster within cooee of a beach for a few days? Thanks everyone! :-)

If you do not mind paying National Park fees $6 each round about a night than
Inskip Point out side school hols though, but make sure you lock every thing away.

My memory of
Inskip point is that it is very sandy on the entrances.
I didn't stop there but drove past about 2 years ago.
I was staying at the caravan park over the other side near the
boat ramp.
You are not going to get anything free anywhere near the
Gold Coast or sunshine coast as they are prime holiday destinations all year round.
IMHO the best PAID caravan park is the Kingscliff council caravan park which is on the seafront and you can walk to the main street just across the road. It is only 10 minutes from Coolangatta

Its a long way from the Sunshine Coast where the OP is wanting to stay
There is a nice park at Mujimba which is close to everything and right in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. Will cost you but sometimes you just have to pay. $40 a night for 2
