We are contemplating the purchase of a Beier fridge for our van. We are unable to contact JLK outdoor discounts store. Wondering if anyone has information in regards.

1) Is the compressor built into the fridge.
2) Noise level of the compressor.
3) Is it designed to be secured into the fridge housing.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

hi joyhooper
I just googled that brand and there is quiet a lot of info on several sites that might be of use
it appears it is a chinese made unit and is rebadged to several different names in aus according to 1 write-up
but it mainly refers to car fridges didn't see any mention about caravan fridges but didn't read every site
suggest you take a peek

If you go to the site productreview.com I'm sure there will be reviews on there for your fridge.

I have one. After about 7 months it started using ALOT more battery power then when first purchased so I put it in the house as a beer fridge. It always seems to be running now which I don't like so it's going in the bin soon. Worst purchase I've made in a long time.
I bought a Waeco CFX50 as a replacement and couldnt be happier. The quality between the 2 are worlds apart.

Thanks Penchy for your comments about the Beier fridge. We had ordered one on Ebay, and then ended up cancelling it. The demensions that they gave were totally out, plus then we found out that there is no way that it can be secured into the van not to mention that there is no locking on the doors and we would have to get converted. Thanks for your feed back Happy travels.
