Hi All
Has anyone taken a camper into the
Wilbinga area in WA? We have a
Kimberley Kamper towed by a Landcruiser 200 TTD and i am keen to hear of any other experiences in getting around in this area towing a camper given there are some soft spots!
Cheers

Personally I wouldn't do it. You may get lucky and make it on the back tracks, but no chance on the beach front IMHO. Have been bogged in my 200 without a van, so wouldn't want to be out there towing 2T!
If you do try and give it a go, make sure you go with someone to help snatch & winch you out :) And watch out for the $^* who speed around the numerous blind corners!
Cheers

there are some bowls you can tow too and set up in
the gap of the dunes if your looking to
camp out
persoanlly though id leave
wilbinga to day trips during the week
weekends are fine with a group of people getting really drunk and watching the antics
if your looking for a
nice beach for a family
camp id be looking further afield

Hi guys
Thanks for the guidance I suspected as much. As suggested we will do a day trip recky during the week on the school hols then perhaps head back with Oztents rather than the camper mid week to
camp out.
Thanks for your quick responses
Cheers
Andrew

Cheers Maverick I had heard it can get a bit feral at times. Sadly a far cry from the recent article in Pat Calanin's recent mag article. It looks stunning in his article!
