Been there last year. It looks very interesting & you just cant believe what you see.
We have travelled from Newcastle to Cooktown, over in December. Scenery was great.
Everything so green.

Photo at the top of the article IS NOT Black Mountain.

Good article and an interesting place to take a look at, the wind really whistles through the rock and makes some pretty erie sounds.

That is what I thought when I saw the photo as well. Fantastic place to visit. The folklore and stories help fire the imagination up.

Well worth a visit if your near Cooktown.

Went to Cape York about 14 years go.
11500 km round trip.
Only flat tyre we had was in the car park at Black Mountain when we got back from the walk.
