There was a bit of info on this site ages ago about the arrest of the Palmerville property owners for the murder of a prospector. I have searched high and low but have been unable to find out whether there was a result on this matter.

I will be heading up that way during the year, but may choose to avoid the immediate area if possible.

Can anyone advise if this matter was decided upon by the courts?

Thanks in advance.

Mate if your thinking about going, just do it, the strubers I don't think will bother you, we were up there last May, even called into the property to try and gain access to the western track into Maytown, but were turned away by NPW, who were caretaking the property so it would not be vandalised. I would certainly not let the hype around the Stuber's stopping you from enjoying your holiday. As the crow flies, Maytown is about 40klms from the Stuber's property, and even when there is an outcome, I don't think they will be allowed to carry firearms as they did. I was up there with Tom Prior many years ago, Tom threatened to run Struber over with one of his Ford Canada trucks if he thought of grabbing his rifle, knowing Tom he would not have thought twice about it either, still talks about it to this day.

OBJ, google Tom Prior (Chilligoe), he's a fair legend in those parts, reckons he is only 81, myself and a lot of others up there reckon he's more like 98, he just seems to have been around an eternity, absolutely a top bloke.
