Probably a silly question but is it possible to unzip an Exploroz place file to appear in the Oziexplorer Exploroz names file, or is the only option to have it downloaded as a waypoint to appear in a waypoints folder.
thanks

Wicket,
I may be wrong, but aren't all the ExplorOz
places included in
EOTopo?
Cheers

Further to that, not only do they appear on the map, they are also listed in a .csv file readable by MS Excel and other spreadsheets. The file is supplied on the
EOTopo SD card or stick.
The info has also been converted in to .
places and .types files for use in OziExplorer. These files are also on the card or stick.
EOTopo is
well worth the purchase price.
Cheers

Be aware that the "Places" database is added to and changed all the time. What is included with
EOTopo is a snapshot of the database at the time it was created.

What Chris said. I have
EOtopo but some of the more recent "places" are not on my copy, hence the question.
cheers

Guys,
Chris is 100% right. Each version of
EOTopo comes with an extract made on the release date. I could update the download product periodically but making version number changes may cause people to want to download the maps etc. So to avoid confusion it is just released with the
EOTopo of the time.
I actually could write a custom function to build a release when you download it from the system and thus you could come back and get the latest release however this is not currently in my schedule. I will put some more work into this when it comes time to release the next update of
EOTopo.
