Hi,
Can anyone recommend installer south of
Adelaide that specialises in camper/caravan installs.
Looking to supply and fit a quality solar panel on the roof of our Jayco Finch Outback, big enough to feed a 130amp AGM to run the 3 way fridge and LED lights during winter months in SA, WA, NT and Central Aus and fitting sturdy enough to handle rougher tracks.
Cheers

A roof full of solar panels probably won't give enough to run a 3 way fridge and unfortunately the sun doesn't shine at night so you would have to have an enormous battery capacity to cater for it.
Options.Providing full sun.
Can you fit a bigger roof and fill the Jayco with batteries to cater for the constant approx 12 to 15 amps the fridge will draw ALL the time. 15 amps x 24hours is 360 AH every day/constant,
Gas is the only option there.
Solar and 3 way fridges are not compatible and can't ever be considered in the same sentence.
Solar is Ok for lights and a compressor fridge, with enough panel area/output and suitable battery to cater for the expected usage.

In my trailer I have 2 x 100ah batteries which are charged by 2 x 130w solar panels.
I run a 80L Engle drawing about 6amps max + lights +ph chargers + I also run a couple of 12v telescopes at night.
With full sun every day this setup is sufficient. If it's overcast for 2 days in a row I'm in trouble.
That's when I plug the fridge into the vehicle aux battery.
