Hi guys
I too have had the old check engine light on in my jack due to the TPS however I made quite a discovery today.
My olds have just bought a new 3L TD nissan patrol which appears to have the exact same TPS (its located roughly the same position but on the drivers side).
I don't know how long they have been on nissans for but it may offer a much cheaper solution getting a nissan one or getting a 2nd hand nissan one as I have not been able to get a 2nd hand GMH one.
Will be investigating further tomorrow.

Tim,

Just as Ford and Holden share some component manufacturers in Australia; Isuzu, Nissan, Toyota and Mitsubishi likely do share component manufacturers in Japan.

Isuzu also builds some truck diesel engines under contract for Nissan, but I don't think that extends to 3.0L TDI.

Many moons ago, my father in law had to get a distributor replaced in an old 6cyl Volvo. It was just a Bosch points type distributor. The volvo service place wanted to charge him $400 parts only. He then found out later it is exactly the same distributor used by Holden in the old 6cyl red motor. $40 swapover at a local auto-elec.
