G'day all, thank you oldtrack123, TTD1 & others for their help, I found some parts & now the freezer compartment freezes over but the main part of the fridge will only go down to 12 degrees - is there an adjustment to make it colder? or turn the fridge upside down for a while? someone said, any other suggestions would be great, thanks in advance, norm

Do a search for "Internal Fridge Fan "
A small computer fan blowing on the freezer fins will get the lower temps for you.

What setting do have the fridge on?
does the knob have numbers eg 1-5?

the cabinet can take 24 hrs to get down to temp particularly in high ambient temps.

Hello again Riverina,
Have a look for the thermostat probe,if it is in the ice box locate it lower in the fridge. It is an alloy tube that goes back down to the rear of the fridge. The Electrolux gas deep freezer used to have two positions one high for higher temperatures and one lower to freeze.
Great to hear it is working but you may have to fiddle a bit to get perhaps 4 degrees in the main fridge

HI
One other possible cause
There is a heat transfer medium between the internal [fridge section ]fins & the actual cooling plate
That may have dried out , will need care in removing the finned section
& then find some compound & apply as per instuctions, After removing the old dried out stuff .
